INTRODUCTION: In recent decades procedural sedation and/or analgesia (PS/PSA) have been widely used for diagnostic examinations and minimally invasive surgical interventions outside of the operating room. The recommendations presented in literature contain contradictory data related to indications, contraindications, baseline monitoring level, priority level protocols. OBJECTIVE: To perform an analysis current practice guidelines, randomized clinical trials (RCTs), review systematize on potential use sedatives narcotic analgesics sedation. MATERIALS AND METHODS: PubMed, Medline, Embase, eLibrary were searched PS/PSA RCTs, articles. RESULTS: describes levels increase difficulty risk complications.
